Fetty Wap Losses Brother Twyshon Depew to Fatal Gunshot Wounds, Mourns His Loss

Trap & B rapper Fetty Wap lost his younger brother Twyshon Depew to gunshot injuries on Thursday, and the rapper took to Instagram to mourn his loss. Fetty apologized to his deceased brother for not being there to protect him and cried that he does not know what to tell their nephew over the unfortunate incident.

Depew was shot by unknown persons in Fetty’s hometown of Paterson, New Jersey. He was found with a gunshot wound to his chest on Lawrence Street close to Rosa Parks Boulevard and promptly moved to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center. The 26-year-old was pronounced dead at the hospital around 11 pm that night.

Police had earlier stormed the vicinity of 187 Lawrence Street around 9 pm when they received information of a shooting incident. They helped to transport Depew to the hospital but were not able to make any arrests. They said they are still investigating the case and would keep the public informed. People with credible information that could lead to the arrest of the shooter have been asked to contact the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.

“Love you Twy…really Missin you Kidd but I see you brought the sun out today I ‘ma pour sum up for you today,” Wap wrote on Instagram. “I keep calling ya phone and you won’t pick it up and that shit never ring 3 times now it’s straight to VM. I love you Lil bro I really thought I could get you out before I ever had to make a post like this Lil bro like wtf.”

Wap lamented that he has lost so many friends to unfortunate incidents to the extent that it “was almost starting to feel normal”. He cried that he would always remember Depew’s slogan of “don’t cry for me, slide for me” but that he is lost for words on what to tell their nephew “when he asks me why I ain’t make sure you were ok…”
