Former CNN Producer Highlights Jeffrey Toobin’s Unsavory Past – Rape, Abortion, and Public Masturbation

Following the public scandal and furor that greeted CNN’s Jeffrey Toobin’s masturbation incident during a Zoom video meeting with CNN staff, former CNN digital producer Steve Krakauer said Toobin’s personal problems must be taken seriously given that he has a very unsavory past to revisit.

Giving a disturbing timeline of Toobin’s disturbing past, Krakauer said his former colleague had not been the best of persons in terms of moral integrity and family responsibility. Krakauer said Toobin, whose private filth came to the open when he unintentionally exposed himself masturbating during a Zoom meeting with CNN staff on Monday, said the CNN legal analyst and The New York staff writer impregnated a fellow lawyer in 2008 and attempted to abort it.

According to Krakauer, Toobin who was married impregnated Casey Greenfield, a lawyer and daughter of Jeff Greenfield, a political analyst at CNN, and tried to force Greenfield to abort the pregnancy. He offered his mistress a lump sum of money to get rid of the baby but when Greenfield refused, Toobin declined to do a DNA test and also refused to provide child support after the kid was born.

He only agreed to a DNA test and full child support after Greenfield’s lawyers took up the issue.

“He also allegedly offered to pay for her to have another child later via a sperm donor,” The Daily News reported in 2010.

Krakauer went on to recall that Toobin reportedly wooed a prominent woman indecently in 2010, and even tailed her to her hotel room and tried to force his way in. When he found it had to gain entrance, he left vile and sickening messages on her phone as well as some very unprintable things. The former CNN digital producer also stated that a woman in a 2015 New York Post story that Toobin was an “emotional rapist.”

Krakauer said Toobin’s disturbing past and recent masturbation incident on live video should be taken seriously – meaning that he might require psychological help and evaluation to be able to get his life back on track. The New Yorker magazine suspended the staff writer following the live masturbation incident but CNN only gave him some time off work to sort himself out.
